My personal experience using streamyx

Frankly speaking, I don’t know how to start this. I have been using streamyx’s Package RM66 for over one year. Then, I heard that Package RM88 is faster than RM66. So, one day, I went to Tmnet and upgraded my speed from 512k to 1M. After using 1M for one month, I didn’t  see any difference in terms of speed. It was the same especially when using rapidshare, megaupload, ziddu or savefile, very very slow. Similarly, loading youtube movies and uploading files to youtube are the same. What the heck is going on? The same thing happened when downloading/uploading attachments with yahoo!mail. I can’t blame yahoo for that. Yahoo is one of the best players in the world. TMNet can’t even be compared with Singapore in South-East Asia. So, I’m sure the culprit is Streamyx. Finally, I gave up and downgraded the speed back to 512k or Package RM66. I want to use Celcom or Maxis, but they are too expensive for 384k and they have this “fair usage policy“. Even TMnet hasn’t applied this policy yet, I guess, but it throttles the speed for many websites. In conclusion, despite the fact that Vision 2020 is waiting around the corner, the funny thing is that we need to wait 50 years more before we can match ourselves with Singapore, when we talk about our broadband.

My complaint to TMNet. You should also send the same complaint so that they realize to upgrade their hardware.

What do you think about the reply from TMNet?

So pathetic!!!

“The best service”? I guess they are still like a frog under a coconut shell, the world outside does not exist and the perfect world is just inside the shell… hahaha…  They should open their eyes, learn from the best players in the global broadband market, and not just saying  that ” we THINK  that we are the best”.

Broadband is almost everything nowadays.

Slow and expensive connections  <=>  we are getting information, knowledge, world updates, business transactions, bla bla bla bla bla bla SLOWLY. Consequently, we will be left behind.
