MAKING YOUR VISTA BROADBAND FASTER

Posted by KaMaRaZaMaN on October 24, 2009

WARNING: Use at your own risks! If you are not sure what you are doing, please find someone who has an experience in modifying Vista settings…

Making your Vista broadband faster…

STEP 1: Streamyx connection

change DNS for TCP/IP for streamyx

start -> connect to -> (your broadband)-> right  click for properties -> networking -> TCPIP/IP4

Use the following open DNS servers

primary 203.121.16.85
secondary 203.121.16.120

I use Streamyx’s DNS – 202.188.0.133 and 202.188.0.132

STEP 2: Registry settings

1. download / save SG_Vista_TcpIp_patch file. Do NOT open with MS Word.

2. rename to SG_Vista_TcpIp_patch.cmd

3. Right click, Run as Administrator,

4. choose  -d option

STEP 3: MZ Vista Force

1. download Mz Vista Force from www.mztweak.com

2. choose Internet Optimizer and click ADSL and DSL Modem.

3. Disable AutoTuning

4. Click Apply Tweaks to restart PC.

Note:

Zero bandwidth:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Psched]
“NonBestEffortLimit”=dword:00000000

After restarting

Test your speed at http://speedtest.tm.net.my or http://219.93.175.234/

or http://www.speedtest.net/

512 package: 512k download, 256k upload

1M package: 1M download, 384k upload

If you are NOT getting the intended speed, call TM at 100. Somebody forgot to update their system and change the port for your house. Don’t forget to ask for a report number. Then, you click here to write your complaint  professionally (nicely). Include the report number too.

For Maxis, Celcom, Digi and P1, I’m not sure about your intended speed. But you must remember that these operators impose a Fair Usage Policy on their users.
