Rose Cottage Hotel
Taman Universiti, Skudai.
The hotel is quite okay… what do you expect? It’s a one-star hotel… We booked the room with a queen-sized bed, not so bad RM68 per night. It has a tv (no astro), an air-cond and a hot shower. The good thing about this hotel is the surrounding area, with uncountable number of restaurants/stalls open until midnight and some of them open for 24 hours especially the one which is in front of the hotel. There are many banks – CIMB, Bank Rakyat, Maybank and others. Surprisingly, there are several car wash centres, again, open 24 hours. Not to mention – cybercafe. Jusco Skudai is just 5 minutes of walking from the hotel. Moreover, we can get taxis easily in front of Jusco. We went to Jusco immediately after we put our stuff in the room. Hahaha, when my wife got very tired on the first night, I went to Jusco alone disturbing this one salesman… selling cameras… very nice… he explained for almost 30 minutes and did some demo with that Olympus camera. I didn’t buy because the camera can’t zoom in/out while recording a video. What a pity!!!!
The next day, my wife and I went to JB and Danga Bay… took some photos. The worst part is that Danga Bay. On television, it sounds so big. When we got there around 6pm, we can almost count the number of cars over there…. Seafood restaurants? Where are they??? Public holiday??!! Nothing. I hate Danga Bay. Lying to me. From the photos below taken in between 5.30-6.pm, not so many cars at the back…. that is the main road….So, we went back to Skudai…. more happening than JB/DB. After ordering our dinner, we bumped into Pei Soo, so eat dinner together loh… FYI, my wife tried Ayam Penyet that afternoon, she told me got belacan inside…. So, I can’t even try at all… What to do… sinus….
