Nikon Coolpix L14
I bought this camera for RM400 in May 2008 and sold it in December 2008 to somebody via lowyat.net forum.
Features:
7MP, 3X optical zoom, video quality 640×480 at 25fps or 30fps.
Use two AA batteries – alkaline or rechargeable.
Pros:
1. I can’t think of any except it can take still and video images just like Nikon Coolpix L18.
2. Can use cheap SD cards.
Cons:
1. Support up to 8 MB SD cards.
1. very slow in capturing still images i.e. have to wait 3-5 seconds before capturing the next photo.

Nikon Coolpix L18
I purchased it for RM450 in December 2008 and sold it to my friend in August 2009.
Features:
8MP, Optical Zoom 3X, Steady-shake feature, video quality 640×480 at 25fps or 30fps at about 9mbps quality (high dvd quality).
Use two AA batteries – alkaline or rechargeable.
Pros:
1. Still images and videos are better than L14.
2. Can shoot photo faster than L14 – 0.5 to 1 second waiting period.
3. Can use the optical zoom while recording video.
4. Can use cheap SD cards.
Cons:
1. Distance from the camera to an indoor object is between 3 -5 meters.
2. If more than 5 meters, images tend to be “dusty” when you see at the original size. Need more lights for indoor and night outdoor shooting. No problems during the daytime.
3. Support up to 8 MB SD cards.
